Why We're Doing This

Nine years in Vancouver. Beautiful city, but we've been in a bubble. The kind of bubble where you convince yourself that watching the rain through your apartment window counts as "experiencing the world."

We've built everything from this desk. The channel, the brand, the book, the podcast. All of it, right here. And somewhere along the way, the desk became a cage. A really nice cage with a great view, but still.

So we're driving to LA. Not because LA is the answer. But because staying here definitely isn't the question anymore.

Time to see if the world outside feels more alive than the one we built in our apartment.

The Tesla Question

Can a 2016 Model X handle 4,000+ miles of highway with two people and too much luggage? We took the Oregon coast, the redwoods, San Francisco, and the Madonna Inn. Every Supercharger stop is an adventure.

We mapped every Supercharger from Vancouver to LA. Some gaps were scary but we made it every time. The Tesla community on PlugShare saved us more than once.

If the car dies on the Pacific Coast Highway at least the view will be worth it.

Who We Want to Meet

We're not going to LA to "network." Networking is what people do when they're pretending to care about each other's engagement rates over overpriced coffee.

We're going to find people who live like we do. People who build things online, who are honest about what that costs, and who don't treat every conversation like a collab pitch.
